The 2010 NCASP Conference Review | with Jonathan Weiner, CPC, President, NCASP

Where do I begin, on how to report the most successful NCASP Show we've had in 10 years! Let me start with the plan that took place. As we've been know for putting on great shows in the past, our conference committee has grown into a driving force for that success and would rival most professional association staff in our profession. Each member of the committee is a volunteer; Quintin Williams (Co-Chair), Anna Hudson (Co-Chair), Carol Ashby (Co-Chair last year), Kara Bertoncino (Chair 2 years ago and Treasurer) and John Ravelli for assisting with the Silent Auction. Last but not least Mary Mallett (Co-Chair many times before and our Director of Vendor Relations). This is well organized group that compliments each other extremely well.

We then move into Sponsors. Mary Mallett successful brought in 37 Vendor Reps, 18 Booths, with 9 Premium Sponsors (Bronze, Silver, Gold). Without this commitment, we would not be able to enterntain and bring in the Top Speakers in the country.

Quintin did an amazing job kicking off the conference with some wit and I had the opportunity to present the Inaugural Mary J. Mallett Award to Mary for her years of service, dedication and results. It was a very special moment for me as Mary is a dear friend and my righ hand on the board.

Top Recruiter aired LIVE with our Star, Tiffany Crenshaw and host, TV Host, Carissa Bealert. There was thunderous applause as this opening session finished and the Q & A that followed went on for 20 minutes. Tremendous feedback!

Let's talk about our Speakers; Keynote, Jon Bartos did an amazing job on Friday morning with his "What song will you sing for 2010" session, there was excitment, music and singing. Everyone was supercharged.

Friday's Award Luncheon was awesome with the following winners, Carol Ashby, Member of the Year, Sterling Ownes, Rookie of the Year, Linda McKinney, Hall of Fame, Tricom Funding, Vendor of the Year and finally Recruiter Earth won the President's Award for tremendous leadership and direction in moving the ncasp.com online pressence to a whole new level!

Our breakout speakers all had full rooms with Jon Bartos, Kathleen Kurke, Linda Zumstein and Jen Lambert. All positive feedback on their sessions, a number of people came up to me and wanted to know if we could bring some of them back next year!

We strive to make our attendees and sponsors feel like VIPS, and you saw that at the high quality food and drink along with the entertainment both evenings. Friday night was a record as we raised over $6,000 for our charity this year, Second Harvest and the LIVE Auction with Carissa MC'ing was pretty amazing as we raised the most money there too! Let's just say I left with the IPAD!

I was very proud to be a part of this progressive organization, constantly raising the bar, and delivering exceptional training! And I was very happy to have Recruiter Earth be a Bronze Sponsor at this event and assist in all the media coverage which you will all be seeing in the next several weeks!

I thank all of you that attended, supported, sponsored and spoke! Have a great 2010!
